Dr. David Inniss
Biography
Born and raised in Barbados, Dr. David R. Inniss is a dynamic speaker and storyteller who has inspired audiences across the Caribbean, North America, and beyond.
He made history as the first Barbadian to attend and graduate from the United States Military Academy at West Point, earning a Computer Science degree as a Distinguished Cadet. He holds an MBA from California State University and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership & Management, specializing in Human Resource Development, from Drexel University.
Dr. Inniss brings a 28-year technology career spanning software engineering, systems quality management, product innovation, and senior leadership, alongside 14 years as a university professor teaching Entrepreneurship, Leadership, and Advanced Research Methodologies.
An entrepreneur at the intersection of technology and culture, he is the visionary behind BajanTix.com, FreshTraxx, and BandBase, platforms modernizing Caribbean events and ticketing, artist networks and music distribution, and mas band management.
Dr. Inniss is the author of Being the Dad I Never Had (The Expanded Edition) and its companion workbook, Being the Dad I Choose to Be. His most recent publication is Half A Hundred Truths: The Wisdom That Time Taught Me.
